Historic and fun 75 minute tours are available on our 1936 expedition ship at Jack London Square in Oakland, California. Tour The 127 foot Sacajawea with your experienced guide and learn about how she was built by presidential decree and specially painted white to look unassuming while engaged in undersea mapping in Alaska before it became a US state. You'll enjoy beautiful views from the top of the ship (the highest point floating on the Bay and it's largest charter vessel). Check out the vintage machines in our engine room including 3 generators, a 750 hp engine, a water maker and metal lathe. You're also likely to spot sea lions and pelicans as well as yachts, fishing and tanker vessels coming and going through the Alameda Estuary and often only a few feet away. Best for adults and kids 10 and up.
